The Magic of Vehicle Branding

If you own a business, then you probably own a fleet of vehicles, or at the very least a neat and tidy little car. If your business does not have a single vehicle to its name, then we’re not sure you’re reading the right blog. We don’t have anything against those who prefer getting along in taxis and buses, we just want to tell those who have cars, trucks and vans how they are sitting on a marketing goldmine and they don’t know it. That’s right! You have a mobile marketing tool at your disposal and you don’t even know it!

Your company car or delivery van is often operating in and around the area in which your business operates. Everyday it passes potential clients who live and work within your ‘catchment’ zone. When to and from your place of work you are likely to be caught in peak-hour traffic alongside a host of other road users. So why not use the opportunity to cover your vehicle in a wrap. Vehicle branding or vehicle advertising is not a new concept, but to date it is not used as widely as it should be when there are multiple benefits:

  • A branded vehicle passes thousands of people regularly. Everyone that looks at your car can be ‘caught’ by the decals and will immediately become aware of your brand. With 3.9 million vehicles expected to hit Gauteng roads everyday, just in peak-hours alone, within the next 20 years, vehicle branding is the obvious marketing strategy.
  • Vehicle advertising is a form of interactive branding. Your vehicle moves around, and is a three dimensional object. What way of advertising more innovative than a good vehicle wrap?
  • Vehicle wraps are actually pretty affordable. Once you have an ad wrapped on your car then you get to keep a running advertisement for as long as you like without having to pay rent. The materials used in modern vehicle wraps are not as costly as they once were and they can last as long as five years.
  • There are a few other advantages: a branded car is less likely to be hijacked (rushing away in a stolen car covered in company branding is not a smart idea for any hijacker). A branded car is more likely to be seen in traffic, therefore reducing accidents. A branded car protects its paintwork too, allowing it to retain a good resale value.

So there you have it. What are you waiting for? Are you going to continue leaving that company car of your’s unbranded? Can you really afford NOT to include vehicle advertising on your company’s expenses? For all your vehicle branding and wrapping requirements contact Impact Brand Solutions as soon as possible!
